“So many organizations are helping out by bringing food, clothing and other necessities, which is just fantastic,” said Ted Amberg, president of Amberg Entertainment. “The best way that we can help is to provide these kids some mental relief through the joy of play. Even if just for a short time, it will help the children and their parents from the amazing stress they are dealing with.”

Amberg Entertainment will bring multiple inflatable games as well as some carnival rides and set them up. Location and times to be announced soon.

In addition to the Joplin carnival, Amberg Entertainment will be hosting a “Jump for Joplin” carnival in Springfield to raise funds for Joplin relief efforts on Saturday June 4th from 11am-3pm. The event will be held in the Price Cutter parking lot located at the corner of Republic Rd and Kansas. All-inclusive wristbands will be sold for $5, with 100% of proceeds going to the Joplin relief efforts.

“We know people want to help the folks in Joplin, but maybe don’t know how,” said Amberg. “This way we can provide some fun for a great cause.”

With the $5 donation each attendee will receive an all-inclusive wristband, access to all inflatable bounces and games, and a Jump for Joplin t-shirt.

The Urban Districts Alliance partnered with CoxHealth, the Springfield Cardinals, John Q. Hammons Industries, and multiple downtown venues to host an Independence Day celebration called Fireworks at the Field on Saturday, July 2.

Patrons can listen to local live music, play on inflatable toys from Amberg Entertainment in the Bill Rowe Training Center at Hammons Field, create art crafts at The Creamery Arts Center, ice skate at Mediacom Ice Park, enjoy the hands-on activities of the Discovery Center, and see the region’s largest fireworks show from the Hammons Field outfield grass with the purchase of a sticker.

Big Smith and Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin will be two of the event’s headlining groups performing at Hammons Field.  A variety of other local bands will begin at 3.  The full schedule will be announced in the coming weeks.

Stickers will be available for purchase on June 13 for only $5 per person (ages 5 and up) at all Springfield Price Cutter Supermarkets (including the downtown Bistro Market) and Hammons Field.  The admission price on the day of the event will be $7 per person.  Veterans and active military personnel with an ID can purchase stickers at the gate for $3.  Children under 5 are free.  A limited number of stickers will be sold due to the capacity of Hammons Field (approximately 20,000 people), so patrons are encouraged to purchase tickets early.

Similar to ballgames and other major Hammons Field events, a wide variety of paid and free parking options will be available in the Jordan Valley Park area (detailed parking maps of free and paid areas will be provided closer to the event).  Fireworks at the Field is within a mile of 16,000 Center City residents, which could allow many to walk or ride a bike.  Also, City Utilities will offer special routes that day (the details of which will be released closer to the event).

The Wizzer is (as stated above) a self propelled, spinning carnival ride. Two to Four participants sit across from each other, they grab the handles in front of their seats and pump back and forth. The faster they pump, the faster the Wizzer spins!

The participant steps into our dark room where they can draw in the air with a variety of light emitting objects of various size and color. Our special equipment captures the whole thing, and when their session is over they step out of the dark room and receive a printout of their masterpiece. This is just one of the unique and fun services we offer at Amberg Entertainment!

This attraction is great for all kinds of events. This is especially a great project graduation activity.

1. Insurance: Does the entertainment company you are considering carry liability as well as workman’s comp insurance? If not, you or your company is being put at risk. Also make sure you can be added as additionally insured on their insurance certificate.

Are their inflatable games and rides inspected by the state, and do they do pre-event inspections before every event to make sure your guests have the time of their lives… safely? Is the company up to date on the latest state regulations and safety standards?
3. Experience: See if they will let you attend a similar event to the one you are planning. In this way you will be able to see first hand that the company is capable of meeting your needs. Many companies claim to be able to handle “any size or type of event”, but that is not always the case. 7. Event Promotion: How will the company you are considering for your entertainment needs help promote your event and help raise attendance levels?
8. Tour of Facility and Offices: Can you see first hand the type of operation the company runs?
9. Large Selection & Variety for all Ages: Look at what inventory the company has to offer. Do they have a large list of items to choose from to ensure your event is customized to fit your guests tastes as well as your budget.
